Carlton AFL players Will Hayward and Lachie Cowan were both hospitalised following separate incidents, prompting the club to launch investigations into each case. Carlton will hand its findings over to the AFL once the review is complete.

The AFL has issued Carlton a formal please explain over the matters. A potential punishment loophole is also under scrutiny. Hayward's partner was reportedly at a hen's party when the house party incident involving him occurred. Senior figures at the club are said to be deeply angry about what happened.
